16 Jul The Portuguese Criminal Police holds conference on the topic “How to Create Value in Security”
As part of the Sustainable Value Creation (SVC) Summit, which was focused on the creation of sustainable value for Space, Land and Ocean (Horizon 2020 projects) and held from 23 to 26 May at the Nova School of Business and Economics, in Carcavelos, Polícia Judiciária (The Portuguese Criminal Police ), which also a consortium organisation in NOTIONES project, held a parallel session dedicated to the topic “How to Create Value in Security”. The conference, which took place on the last day of the summit, provided stage for discussing topics such as the use of satellite images in fighting crime, cybersecurity challenges, a look at what will be the police of the future, and, finally, the role of innovation and networks of practitioners, such as the NOTIONES project, in the world of civil security.
The event was attended by several security-related institutions such as DG HOME, Europol, EuCB, Interpol, FRONTEX, the Portuguese Maritime Authority and MAOC, as well as technological and business entities such as CENTRIC, Vicomtech, PT Space, INOV, CNCS, Teleperformance and Beyond Vision.
